The Day of Remembrance of the massacre of the Little Martyrs of Gorla
In the past decades, through testimonies, books, interviews on the major Newspapers also at national level and other means of communication, the parents of the Little Martyrs and the survivors of the massacre of the School of Gorla have always tried to keep the Memory alive to prevent this sad affair ended in oblivion.
Although with due modesty, even the pages you are reading on this site have contributed, and will continue in the future, to spreading awareness of the events to those who had never been informed, given the absence of any reference to the School of Gorla in textbooks used in Italian schools.
However, this episode remained unknown to most of our compatriots. To remedy this we have taken steps to implement some initiatives at various levels of the Public Administration: among those that are still in the process of being developed, we can inform you about the proposed law of the Hon. Paola Frassinetti, always present at the Memorial every October 20th, for the establishment of the Memorial Day of the massacre of the Little Martyrs of Gorla.
A date that, besides signifying a lot for us, will take on a particular value to make all the educational institutions of the Country participate in the memory of the children of Gorla, but also of the students who disappeared in all the hostile acts that unfortunately still today happen in schools throughout the world.
